Building Kits by Kevin Bacon (BKxKB)

In honor of the 40th anniversary of our Founder, Kevin Bacon's, celebrated dance movie “Footloose” in 2024, SixDegrees.org embarked on a mission to create and distribute 40,000 essential resource kits across the United States, and, thanks to your support, we did it!

SixDegrees.org understands that when individuals walk through the doors of a nonprofit, they often have needs extending far beyond the organization’s services. We also know compassionate nonprofit employees will stop at nothing to meet the immediate needs of those they meet.

SixDegrees.org empowers our nonprofit network partners to meet the basic needs of everyone who walks through their doors by equipping them with essential resource kits to distribute to their constituents. This allows our partners to concentrate their resources on their unique areas of expertise and serve their communities most effectively.

We work with our network partners to identify their greatest areas of need and customize our resource kits to the needs of their constituents. Every BKxKB kit includes a toothbrush, toothpaste, other personal hygiene items, socks, a journal, a handwritten note of encouragement, and more.

Through this impactful program, SixDegrees provides hundreds of thousands of dollars in resources to local network partners while amplifying their stories and elevating their important work.
